How Core + Plus work together

CBSE Plus does not repeat the regular CBSE syllabus. It builds on the Core programme by adding entrance-specific concepts, applications, structured practice and testing.

Plus builds on Core

CBSE Plus is not offered as a standalone programme.

Maths Stream Plus: Students must be enrolled in Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics Core.
Biology Stream Plus: Students must be enrolled in Physics + Chemistry + Biology Core.
There is no subject-wise mix and match between Core and Plus.
Designed as a two-year journey

Start in Grade 11. Build steadily through Grade 12.

CBSE Plus is designed as a Grade 11–12 entrance-readiness programme. Beginning in Grade 11 allows students to develop application and problem-solving skills gradually alongside their regular CBSE preparation.

Fees are paid separately for Grade 11 and Grade 12. There is no two-year upfront fee commitment.

Admission note

No entrance test is required for Grade 11 admission.

Continuation into Grade 12 Plus will be based on the student’s Grade 11 performance and ability to manage the programme, not through the new-admission entrance test.

Students seeking new admission directly into Grade 12 Plus will be admitted based on an objective-type entrance test covering Grade 11 portions and batch availability.

Questions parents often ask

Can a student join CBSE Plus without joining CBSE Core?
No. Plus is available only with the corresponding Core subject combination.
Is CBSE Plus 3 hours per subject?
No. CBSE Plus is 3 hours per week TOTAL across the stream.
Does Plus repeat the CBSE syllabus?
No. Core handles the CBSE syllabus. Plus focuses on entrance-specific extensions, applications, practice and testing.
Can a student join Plus only in Grade 12?
Grade 12 entry is not automatic. New Grade 12 Plus admissions are based on an objective entrance test covering Grade 11 portions and batch availability.
Is an entrance test required to join Grade 11?
No.
How is IISER IAT handled for PCM or PCB students?
A separate optional fourth-subject bridge/crash programme will be offered.
Are the Grade 11 and Grade 12 fees paid together?
No. Fees are paid separately in the respective academic years.
